The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett By Chelsea Sedoti

That includes taking her job... and her boyfriend. It's a huge risk — but it's just what Hawthorn needs to find her own place in the world.
1/5 Stars
So I got this book thinking that it would be a quick, fast paced, mystery. But no.... Its just sorta weird. Honestly, it could have been a cute, somewhat good book if the main character was decent. However, I could not stand Hawthorn. She was the most obnoxious, self-centered, annoying girl I have ever "met". Now, Hawthorn also isn't really doing any investigating. She never "inserts herself in the investigatio…

From opposite ends of Webster High’s social hierarchy, their lives collide in one electrifying moment. WE ARE BACK!!!!! Or at least I am back, but I will try to get Lark to post something next week. Or even this week... I feel like we should post a ton this week just to try to make up for the slacker job we have been doing for the past month, so I am posting this today instead of tomorrow. IM SORRY!!!! Our last post is just a reminder of our failure!!! I wanted to post and I was planning to post, but we were both so busy that we weren't even reading anything!! But we are back and there is even a photo on our review now, so that's something!!!! Also, I am planning to return to our normal schedule (after this week obviously, because I am posting on Thursday....). Ok anyways, enough of that, time to get into the review.

Posting Schedule Update

Hello! As you might have noticed we have been posting reviews much less frequently. Both Lark and I have been incredibly busy the past few weeks and we haven't had time to review books, or actually even read them. We don't want to stop completely, so we will try to post one every other week. We do want to resume our original schedule at some point, but right now, we are just not able to keep posting one every week. We are very sorry.

"I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, then all at once."

3.5/5 Stars
Ok, so I know that a lot of people love this book, but for me it just isn't five stars. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. I read this a few years ago, and everyone was obsessed with it, and I think the reason that I didn't love it is because I expected a lot more. I did think it was cu…

Maggie Elizabeth Harrington

Maggie Elizabeth Harrington By DJ Swykert
Summary: Maggie Elizabeth Harrington is the story of a young woman in the 1890s, whose world is a remote northern Michigan mining town, where she tries to save a pack of young wolves from a bounty hunter. A terse historical love story of a young woman’s struggle with environmental and moral issues concerning the slaughter of wolves, and the church’s condemnation of her love for a young man, are as real in today’s global world as they were for young Maggie more than a century ago. A copy of this book was sent to us by the author, but it will not affect our rating or review 3.5 or 4/5 Stars Look at me on a roll with the spoiler free reviews! Ok anyways, when we were first contacted about reviewing this book, I wasn't quite sure. I mean it really isn't the genre or kind of book that Lark and I read, but I mean the author seemed like a pretty cool guy (former 911 operator and wolf expert) so we decided to give it a try. I really enjoyed reading …

The Distance Between Us

The Distance Between Us By Kasie West

Despite his charming ways and that he’s one of the first people who actually gets her, she’s smart enough to know his interest won’t last. Because if there’s one thing she’s learned from her mother’s warnings, it’s that the rich have a short attention span. But Xander keeps coming around, despite her best efforts to scare him off. And much to her dismay, she's beginning to enjoy his company.

She knows her mom can’t find out—she wouldn’t approve. She’d much rather Caymen hang out with the local rocker who hasn’t been raised by money. But just wh…

By Your Side

By Your Side By Kasie West

But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.

Only he doesn’t come. No one does.

Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend t…

Dorothy Must Die By Danielle Paige
Summary:
I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado - taking you with it - you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little bluebirds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still a yellow brick road - but even that's crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm - and I…

We are Sorry!

I am sorry that we weren't able to post last Friday. I am having some computer problems but I am trying to get Lark to post something in time for this Friday! Sorry! -Lily
